Courses &
Counsel

These courses are not professional therapy or self-help. They are spiritual counsel, rooted in Scripture, offered freely to help you walk well with God.

Wise Counsel
for the Journey.

The Christian walk is not meant to be lived alone. There are seasons — like preparation for baptism or the beginning of a relationship leading to marriage — where sound, biblical guidance makes all the difference.

These courses are offered as a gift to the body of Christ — not to replace prayer, the Word, or pastoral relationship, but to support and supplement your walk in the most important moments.

"Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety."

Proverbs 11:14 ESV

Pre-Baptism
Course

Water baptism is one of the most significant public declarations a believer can make. Before you take that step, we want to walk with you through exactly what the Bible says about it — what it means, what it symbolizes, and how to prepare your heart and life.

This course is for anyone who is considering baptism for the first time or who wants to understand it more deeply before making that public confession of faith.

  • What is baptism? The biblical definition
  • Why baptism matters — and what it declares
  • The difference between salvation and baptism
  • Old and New Testament context
  • How to prepare spiritually and practically
  • What happens on the day of baptism at NJEC

For Couples

Courting &
Marriage Course

This course is designed for couples who are courting with the intention of marriage, and for engaged couples preparing to make a lifelong covenant before God. It offers honest, unbiased, spiritually grounded counsel — not what culture says about relationships, but what Scripture says.

We want every couple who walks through this course to enter marriage with clarity, conviction, and a Christ-centered foundation under everything they build together.

  • God's design and purpose for marriage
  • Courting with purity, intentionality, and wisdom
  • Understanding your roles in covenant
  • Communication, conflict resolution, and forgiveness
  • Finances, family, and faith — building a unified home
  • Prayer as the foundation of your relationship
  • Preparing for the spiritual responsibility of marriage
